According to the information given by Energy Production Department  to the Press – release of "Azerenergy" JSC, in September of this year, "Shimal" power plant 291 million kWh of electricity was generated from production in the same period of 2015, more than 197 million kWh .

Note that the first 9 months of 2016, the power plant has been producing 3 billion 262.6 million kWh of electricity it produced 541.2 million kWh in the same period last year.

Increasing the efficiency of the equipment and operation of electric power as a result of targeted measures to improve the level of production has been achieved in other technical indicators.

In addition to the power plant for the production of the fulfillment of the tasks given to the controller should also be considered in preparation for the season, including the last three months of the year, the main and auxiliary equipment of different types of repair work carried out.

In July 2013, was put into operation with a total capacity of 780 MW in the "South" plant, four gas turbines, two steam turbines, four heat-recovery boiler, six generator and two auxiliary boiler installed.
