According to the information given by "Azerenergy" JSC to  the Department of Energy Production Joint Stock Company, according to the information given to the press, "Shamkir" hydro power plant in September of this year, 29.8 million kWh of electricity was produced.

During the first 9 months of 2016, the hydroelectric power station, 603.9 million kWh of electricity was produced.

Increasing the efficiency of the equipment and operation of electric power as a result of targeted measures to improve the level of production has been achieved in other technical indicators.

Like other energy facilities, "Shamkir" hydro power plant to meet the requirements in the operating mode level. Currently, the power plant is operated in accordance with the dispatch schedule.

Hydro units during the last three months of the year, the current repair work carried out for different purposes, in accordance with the schedule provided by the equipment, the maintenance work was carried out.

Two  hydro units with a total capacity of 380 megawatts, the first hidroaqreqatı the station in 1982, was put into operation in 1983.
