President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited Agdam district. The Head of State attended the inauguration of the 110/35/10 kV “Agdam” junction substation owned by “Azerenerji” JSC. President of “Azerenerji” JSC Baba Rzayev informed the Head of State about the work carried at the power plant. 110/35/10 kV “Agdam” junction substation was constructed by “Azerenerji” JSC in the village of Shelli located on the border of Aghdam district with Khojaly district. A double-circuit 110 kW transmission line was laid at a distance of 10 kilometers from the “Aghdam” substation to the “Aghdam” junction substation and a 24-core fiber optic cable line was laid inside the lightning rod above this line. It was noted that the construction of this substation on the border of Agdam with Khojaly is of particular importance. Thus “Aghdam” junction substation connects Khojali, Askaran, Khojavand, Aghdara and Khankendi to the country's energy system, along with some villages of the region, as well as provides reliability in the region's energy supply as a backup power source. For this purpose, backup slots were also installed at the substation. Since our sovereignty in the region has been restored, a 110 kV transmission line will be laid from the “Agdam” junction substation to Khankendi in the near future and will be connected to the 110/35/10 kV “Shusha” and “Fuzuli” substations. Thus, double-sided power supply will be achieved. At the same time, 35 kV power supply to Khojaly, Askeran and other villages and settlements will be provided from “Agdam” junction substation. An open switchgear of 110 kV was installed at the “Agdam” junction substation and the opening and connecting of switches, disconnectors and other technical equipment, as well as the management of assets, processes, resources, urgent elimination of defects and other operations were provided automatically by software. 35 kV and 10 kV digital indoor switchgear were installed in the newly constructed Control Center of the substation. Moreover, the Center was provided with Emergency Automated Response System (EARS), microprocessor-type relay protection, automation and control panels, fixed and alternating current devices. A micro-SCADA system was established at the substation that meets modern requirements and was synchronized with the central SCADA system of “Azerenerji” JSC. The Head of State launched the “Aghdam” junction substation. It should be noted that before this, on February 13, 2022, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the newly built 110/35/10 kV “Aghdam-1” substation of “Azerenerji” JSC and the “Garabagh” Regional Digital Control Center built near it were put into operation.
