About 20 milliard kWh electric power was produced at the state energy system during 12 months of 2011. From this capacity  more than 17,3 milliard was generated by thermal power plants (TPP), about 2,7 milliard kWh was produced by hydro power plants (HPP).

It was noted in the information given by the Central Dispatch Office of the Joint Stock Company to the Press – release of “Azerenergy” JSC.

Beside it, energy exchange was implemented with the neighboring countries – Russian Federation, Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey and Georgia.

As the source informed, more than 2,1 milliard kWh electric power was generated in December of 2011, from this capacity, more than 1,9 milliard kWh was generated by TPP,  about 0,2 milliard kWh was produced by HPP.
